Adobe Ultra, formerly ULTRA and Ultra Key, was a vector keying application that was created by Serious Magic and marketed by Adobe Systems.
Product history[]
Ultra was acquired by Adobe along with the Serious Magic company in October 2006.[1][2]
Adobe Ultra CS3 was distributed as a component of Adobe Creative Suite 3. It utilized image analysis technology to produce high quality chroma key effects in less than ideal lighting environments. Ultra also included virtual set technology, which allowed the keying of a subject into a virtual 3D environment. Unlike many of the other applications in the Creative Suite, Ultra only runs on the Windows operating system.
Discontinuation[]
Ultra was not included as part of Creative Suite 4. Its functionality was incorporated into other Adobe products, such as Visual Communicator (since 2007), Premiere Elements (since 2008), and Premiere Pro (since 2010).
