Lumetri Color is an effect panel with color scopes built into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 and later. It is Adobe's official replacement for SpeedGrade, which was a separate color correction application.

The Lumetri Deep Color Engine was originally developed by IRIDAS and was first released in spring 2011 with SpeedGrade NX. Later that year, Adobe acquired IRIDAS' technologies and incorporated SpeedGrade along with Lumetri into its product line.[1]

On August 22, 2017, Adobe Systems ended development of SpeedGrade CC as a standalone application and advised users to migrate to Lumetri Color tools built directly into Premiere Pro CC.[2] However, many power users preferred the more robust implementation in the last released version of SpeedGrade (CC 2015) and found that Premiere Pro CC 2017 and later no longer supported direct linking of SpeedGrade projects.[3] PProBCC can be used to convert Premiere Pro project files for backwards compatibility.[4]
